Small businesses are getting an extra boost from an unexpected ally — energy companies.
Representatives from Con Edison and National Grid, state Sen. Joe Addabbo Jr. (D-Howard Beach) and Assemblyman Mike Miller (D-Woodhaven) joined business owners in front of Delta Signs and Flags in Glendale last Thursday to announce a new initiative aimed at helping small businesses and homeowners cut their costs by learning about energy conservation programs.

Care packages needed for soldiers
